why is this code not passing? i keep getting " you should log the res parameter to the console"

Try removing the curly braces from your callback.

so the checker is saying that

  .then((res) => {

console.log(res)

})

and

.then((res) => console.log(res)) are not same thing?

Are these the same? The first syntax shows an implicit return. The second requires an explicit return.

they serve the same purpose, they are same

the difference in schematics is negligible
