Tell us what’s happening:

I’m at the very, very beginning of this tutorial and can’t get past step one. I’m using the Local Setup option, in VSCode. I’ve trashed and opened multiple new terminals, but the tutorial won’t acknowledge when I type “echo hello git” (without quotes) in the command line.

I even completely reset the tutorial to start clean and the same thing is happening. Any ideas?

I got thru this tutorial using the online CodeSpaces setup. I couldn’t ever get it working locally on my macbook.
