As it stands, freeCodeCamp does not save your code. If you are logged in to /learn , then clicking submit after running the tests is enough to save your progress (the lesson will be checked 
) , but, if you return to the lesson, your code will be gone.
That being said, off of mobile, the code can be saved in your browser cache using Ctrl + S whilst the editor is in focus. This does have its limits, as browser cache is hopefully flushed every now and again.
