I’m here in FFC for a while and have being doing the Python Certification project. I was almost a step away from taking the certificate until I see that an exam is required to do so. I agreed with it. But when I installed the .exe file in my PC, my Windows system ‘protected’ me from the .exe because SmartScreen detected it as malicious. Is the exam app really safe? I can’t just make myself confirmed, if anyone has done any exam in Windows, please help me confirm this question. I’d really appreciate it.
the exam app is used often, but it has not been installed often enough to be marked as safe by Windows
the exam app monitors what you do while you take the exam, but it’s not a malicious app
so basically the app isnt malicious on its own, right? then im relieved
releasing malicious apps is not really something freeCodeCamp aims to do
well thanks for the support btw the reply was funny tho ![]()
btw can i uninstall the app? i wonder can i or not
if you are not actively using it it does not need to be installed
btw i have a question again, will my Windows Defender break or something if i install the app, cuz this app only tracks PC activity with controlled access and i know that very well, which Windows hates (even tho, uk what Windows do instead), so will my Windows Defender be affected, in the end?
