Challenge: Link to External Pages with Anchor Elements

Link to the challenge:

capitalization is very important. Also, your element is malformed and does not match the example

<a href="">this links to</a>

That’s so much Jeremy still did not work?

I’m so new to this I’m embarrassed to ask so do I leave the this links to in the code?

What is your updated code?

To pass this test, you just need to insert an <a> element. You don’t need to alter anything else. In this case you can put your <a> element anywhere. I’d probably put it just below the <main> tag.

Your anchor element should look something like this:

<a href="">anchor text here</a>

To avoid typos, I’d probably copy the link from the challenge description.

Does that help at all?

<a href="">cat photos</a>

What is your current full code? You have a typo in the URL.

No, I have worked on this for hours, I believe I will take a break now

Taking a break is a very good idea. Don’t burn yourself out on this stuff :slight_smile:

When you’re ready to come back to it, this is what the challenge is asking you to set as your link:

<a href="">

And this is what you currently have according to your earlier message:

<a href="">

See if you can spot the difference.
