Certification Exams

I have completed all of the requirements to take the Responsive Web Design Cert and I’m just wondering how many attempts can I have to pass the exam?

You get as many as you want, but only 1 per week.

What happens if I fail the exam? Can I retake it?

Yes. You get one exam attempt per week. After you attempt an exam, there is a one-week (exactly 168 hour) “cool-down” period where you cannot take any freeCodeCamp exams. This is to encourage you to study and to pace yourself.

There is no limit to the number of times you can take an exam. So if you fail, study more, practice your skills more, then try again the following week.

Do you happen to know how long it takes on average to get the certificate after submitting the exam?

Welcome to the forum @CieloForge

I don’t know what the average time is.

However the promotional materials suggests it can take up to 7 days.

Next time, please ask your question in a new post.

Happy coding
