Certification not awarded

As far as I can see I completed all the lessons required to be awarded a certification but it has yet to be awarded. Do I need to apply for it and, if so, how?

Update… so certifications are not awarded automatically, meaning one does need to claim each certification they’ve become elegible for. I can see that claiming a ‘cert’ is the appropriate way to do it since each certification includes links to my solutions for the final code challenges.

Welcome, paul.

You need to go to your account settings to claim your certificate. Before you can do so, you also need to agree to the Academy Honesty Pledge.

To make your certificate appear in your profile, you need to have your profile set to public.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I had already complied with the “public” requirements and agreed to the Academic Honesty Pledge… but was unaware that I needed (to click a button) to claim each certification.

@paul0524

One thing you need to know is that FCC won’t notify you or deliver your certificate, once you’ve completed all he projects and proved the links to all them you must head over to your profile settings and make certifications public:

Then when you scroll down you can claim your certifications,

As you see I’ve already claimed responsive web design and once I finish the JavaScript projects, I can also claim the JavaScript certification and then front-end libraries, etc…
