I’m redoing my certification projects because I’m not satisfied with how they are. Is it alright if I write and test the code in Visual Studio Code before pasting the code in FreeCodeCamp? And may I use the same codes to build my portfolio website?

So long as you aren’t copying any code from someone else or from the example projects, you are fine to test your code in whatever environment you want.
