Changing h2 element color

Tell us what’s happening:
hi all -

having a pretty simple issue. trying to change the h2 color to red, but it’s not working. It works when the .red-text in the style sheet isn’t there, but otherwise doesn’t. I thought adding color=red; the the h2 line would fix it, but that doesn’t seem to do anything.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

when you are using inline css for styling
you have to use it like this

<h2 style="color:red">text</h2>

You have a syntax error here.

h2 .red-text {
    color: red;
  }

Be careful with CSS selectors. When you have a space between selectors like this, it means "pick the element with class red-text that’s a child of and h2". For now, just dump the h2.

Hello ,did you get a solution to this problem i am currently having the same issue.

You can remove h2 from CSS in style tag and keep

.red-text {
color:red;
}

As it is. Also, remove color=red; from h2 element and use the class name as class=“red-text”.
