CSS Grid Image gallery

I am trying to guild an image gallery in Grids. I would like to have an image that links to lightbox that holds more images related to the one they clicked and have a some information to the side of the pictures. I have been looking and can not seem to find it. I know it exists… any help, link, direction is appreciated.

Thank you!! That’s part of it…

I am going to use this guys gallery as a reference…
It would be as if

  • the strawberry is the main image. And you don’t see the others.
  • When you click on the strawberry it would pop up the lightbox and show the main image and the other images smaller and be able to scroll through them
  • if possible be able to add a description in the lightbox as well. Almost like a product for sale

OR
is there a way to have:

  • the strawberry is the main image. And you don’t see the others.
  • When you mouse over the image it would show a title
  • and if you clicked on the strawberry it would go to another page
