Deleting Containers

Is it possible that if I delete all the rdb containers my progress on other projects be deleted? Also why do i get the open an empty workspace error, additionally my shell prompt is not in the correct format ever (i cant bring it to camper:/project$ format) I know these questions are too general but i keep getting the same errors. Also I always get sent to building database of vide games characters tutorilal

which operating system are you on?

yes if you delete docker containers, then you shouldn’t expect things to work normally (but how exactly, I’m not sure)

please show a screen shot of the error you are referencing

I receive the last image when I first open VScode via command prompt and when I click dev containers: rebuild and reopen in container I am brought to the screen above,

I’m on windows and I want to start the Celestial Bodies Project I have already completed Mario Database

This is another error I receive

This is how my celestial bodies projects terminal prompt looks

I have tried to enter the psql prompt but I get this error

i came up with a workaround for people on windows (as I use windows) to be able to continue to the next course. Please read through the link and let me know if you have any questions about it.
The steps have to be followed carefully.

I had started my project using this way but now I can’t open my progress, I had a sql containing my code but now I can’t find that

any code you write has to be checked into git so that it can be retained. Otherwise it may be lost if you rebuild the container.

it also looks like you have a duplicate rdb-alpha directory inside your rdb-alpha?
Do you know how that got there?

I have eliminated the duplicates, have also downloaded git deleted all the containers and copied rdb-alpha to rdb-alpha1, i still get the wrong terminal prompt(camper@…//), I try to start all over from the beginning but it doesn’t seem to work

on windows, I follow the instructions I gave you and I am successful, so this leads me to think that you may have misunderstood something in those instructions.

You may want to tell me what you are doing in as much detail as possible so I can see if you’ve got the correct steps or not.

(so you can show me for example which directory you start out from, and tell me which command you ran. Then show me the output of that command. And then repeat this for each command. As I cannot see your screen, this is the only way to tell where you may have gone wrong)
