Opening a new project

How am I supposed to open a new workspace for the next project in relational databases course? I am new to this so could you please help. Please give the exact steps

What operating system are you using?

Im using windows. I have actually started bash tutorial, but closed the window used command prompt to open vscode again clicked reopen in container and now I am back at this screen of celestial bodies but with zero progress and it says test runner failed.

Additionally I have used creating the rdb-alpha1 way for another user on my computer but the rdb files got messed up so i switched users and restarted from my other account, so it didn’t work for me

I found something like this in vscode does it help

i can’t help you quickly from this forum account because it is hard to send replies back and forth for multiple steps. If you want, join the fcc discord and post your question there in the programming-help channel and I will try to help you there more directly.

discord is banned in my country

i’m just going to suggest that you try to follow the steps I outlined as a workaround again.
Hopefully when you try again you will have better luck with them.

Hi, will using this method delete my progress on previous projects

This method is going to delete everything that you did not already complete in fcc or anything you did not already store in GitHub. It allows people to restart a new course.

So if a tutorial has a checked mark on fcc the code of a project is on github no problem.

Yes the checkmark will not go away because of these steps. Also anything in GitHub will not be removed.

should i do the same procedure for each time i start a new project or a tutorial like rdb-alpha2 rdb-alpha3 etc.

Yes. Until fCC updates their instructions that is the only workaround I have. Use more meaningful names if you can think of them.

Problem solved now, thank you so much.
