Tell us what’s happening:

I add the comment as I should and close it within the body styling, but and the web browser appears to be burlywood and not white which it should so I figure I might be doing something wrong.

Delete this piece of code and you are good to go.
That one I mentioned is the non commented background color i.e just beside the commented one
