Extended regex not working(?)

I have tried the following and much more. Please tell me how to pass this step.

“Somewhere in there is a flag for using extended regular expressions with sed. That might work. Add it to the echo "$(echo ' M e ' | sed 's/^ *| *$//g')." command that didn’t work to find out.”

Write the expression again as it was originally (without any changes) and add the flag (is it -E?) between the word sed and the first single quote.

It worked and thank you very much Hanaa. :sparkles:
