Of all early portfolio pieces this one is a really nice start. I would recommend reading up on Typography and using type in web design. The bold font on the content of your about section makes for a bad read. Something I wasn’t sure about early on was proper spacing too. There is a lack of it in your about section, increase the margin around the image to about 30 px.
