For FCC Devs - Increase website layout width of textboxes

Hello community, this thread is some feedback I have for the devs and contributors of Freecodecamp. I wonder if others have opinions on it as well or not.

I have noticed that while learning here, the visual textbox used to house the learning information, explanations and instructions for each step tends to max out in horizontal size before a lot of extra space on my monitor gets used. The result is the code being the length I want across the screen but a big gap of backround color in the middle of the screen with the instruction’s textbox tucked away to the side. I have a PC monitor that is 27 " and I use Windows at a resolution of 100% 1920x1080. Using Chrome, I set the zoom size to 100% most of the time. I was working through the Calorie Budget Javascript project (beta) and didn’t need to see the preview view very much so I made it decently small. I minimized the CSS & HTML code and was working on just the script.js.

Without even thinking about it, I instinctively tried to drag the side of the textbox of instructions to fill the huge gap of plain background color in the middle of my monitor (it isn’t moveable like the line between the code and the preview). I wanted to extend as much text as I could horizontally to match the length of code line because I like to see as many lines I can at once as it helps me learn to go back and forth and re-read lines.

This isn’t an “issue” or anything, I just wanted to know if it was something that could be levelled up from the creators’ end. I could turn my PC monitor and use a portrait orientation but I also use this monitor for things that need it to be landscape <–>.

Thanks for reading and more importantly thank you for providing this really awesome educational content and training.
