freeCodeCamp Community Recap

Hello friends~!

I come with a silly and fun gift for y’all. Our forum software has a new feature called Rewind! Think of it like Spotify Wrapped, but for our forum.

A cool li’l button should show up in your forum notifications (you may need to refresh the page). Click it, and you’ll get your Rewind! Don’t see it? No sweat! You can also access it via your settings:

I would love to see y’all share your results here! And if you share them on social media, tag freecodecamp (and me)!

I’d show my “Top 3 Posts” slide here but unfortunately they are all internal staff posts and I cannot share them.

Wow that’s a cool feature. I didn’t know I used “Buildings“ that much.

Why does the word ‘building’ appear in the top five usage for some forum users?

Replied to a ‘Building a City Skyline’ post with code containing CSS - building is used a lot.

Web developers are digital construction workers. So you may have used the phrase:

‘When building an app…’, or something similar when giving pointers or suggestions.

We meet the same expression when seeing the video courses about website development, that say Building a website, and we can say building a website code , for accuracy. I completely agree with you that the origin of the word is the construction of buildings and structures, but I think we can use it metaphorically in other contexts. :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s not a great contribution, but I hope the 2026 one will be better :face_with_peeking_eye: for Activity calender I think if there is a badge for the most bad Activity calender it’s mine :upside_down_face:
