French section forum

Hi there,

I’m thinking about getting involved in french news translations (see first attemps there Tutoriels de programmation freeCodeCamp : Python, JavaScript, Java, Git, etc. ).

Would it be possible to create a French section in this forum so I could redirect french people there ?

we usually create a section on the forum when there is a curriculum in that language, not for /news

I’m asking as we can set a dedicated forum url in the news i18n links.json, so I was thinking that it would be great to have a dedicated thread for getting french speakers involved in here.

I can’t wait to have curriculum translated into french as it is seems to come soon : Christmas gifts for you from the freeCodeCamp community: Learn Python, SQL, Spanish, and more

And I’m willing to help if proofreaders are needed for that !

For now, I’ll keep working on news translation…

I understand, for now you will need to keep the link to the whole forum. Once a curriculum is live, there will be a forum section

Ok, I’ll keep translating news for now, then have a look at curriculum. Is there anyone already working on that ? I can’t find a dedicated thread for translation works on this forum .

at this time we are working on new workflows for the translation of the curriculum, being it so big we are trying to automate it so that it’s faster, instead of relying on volunteer translation. But French is not one of the languages for which this has been done yet, the curriculum translation is done through Crowdin
