SOMETHING INCREDIBLE HAPPENED TO ME!!!
I can’t even remember what gave me the motivation to do this but I have been a fan of this tech founder/ceo for a long time and I’m like her biggest fan honestly. Like fangirl status cringe to the max. She has two successful companies and has been one of my inspirations to keep on going. I have been in so much pain with my unsuccess and comparing myself with others but this may change my life!!!
I just found her email online and sent an email saying that I really would love to make a website for her (free though). I sent her my past projects I made (the ones from my last post here!) and my FCC certifications. SHE REPLIED AND WE WILL WORK TOGETHER!!! AND I AM DOING A PROJECT FOR MY IDOL!!!
So yeah the saying “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” is very true honestly so don’t be scared to reach out to people you idolize even if they are founders and CEOs. Again, Quincy Larson’s amazing book on how to get a dev job has led me to this route and gave me the courage to do all of this. THANK YOU FCC!!!
edit: I will say I think QUincy is right when he says people have every right to ignore and reject because yeah there are so many vampires out there and they want to take advantage of others but I believe I showed I was sincere because I showed I was a genuine fan.
