So… I was in the middle of typing a 300 word long reply to a person’s question in the HTML section. This is my third time on this forum only, so I don’t know how to use it that well.
I ran into a problem where I wanted to “SHOW” him code. yet it showed up as the thing that the code creates itself. Like when I want to show him the raw code. And it shows up as the thing that the code creates.
Yet I see many people posting raw code without this problem.
So… how do you type code without it executing?
When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.
You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.
