Challenge: Create a Form Element

Link to the challenge:

Hi and welcome to the forum.

What do the failing tests say?

actualy i do not understand the problem ???

The challenge wants you to make a form element, like this

<form action="/url-where-you-want-to-submit-form-data"></form>

but between (nested in-between) the opening and closing tags should be the current input element.

Nest the existing input element inside a form element and assign "https://freecatphotoapp.com/submit-cat-photo" to the action attribute of the form element.

Perhaps if you could tell us exactly what you’re not understanding.

  • Do you understand what is meant by “nest”?
  • Do you understand what is meant by “input element”?
  • Do you understand what is meant by “form element”?
  • Do you understand what is meant by “action attribute”?

Without knowing what is confounding you - or at least seeing what you’ve tried - it’s hard to help you without just giving the answer.

ok thanks buddy…

can you give me a brief explanitation about these words???

Can you be specific. The first word is “perhaps”. Should I start with that?

My experience is that the more specific the question, the better the answers will be, both in quality and quantity.

“nest” ,“input element” ,“form element” ,“action attribute"
in short the words which are used pretty frequently in coding…???

Nesting was introduced in this lesson.

An input element was introduced here.

A form element was introduced here.

Attributes were introduced here.

I think you may have missed some of the earlier lessons or might find reviewing them helpful.

Is there something I can clarify about the content of these lessons?

i started from the beginning itself but some times i just could not recall it.

We’re not trying to be mean - we know this is confusing. We also appreciate that some people may be coming here as non-native English speakers. But as Jeremy points out, these things had been covered in earlier lessons. But we understand that it is easy to forget little things. But we also know that being able to google things is an important skill for a developer. If you still can’t understand one of those things after doing some research, feel free to ask - just please be specific.

Right, it’s a lot to remember and the curriculum moves pretty quickly. Again, being able to find the answer online is a useful skill. I am a professional developer and on a good day I only have to google a dozen things.

too loud and too specific
thanks…

Yeah, I forget stuff all the time too. I pointed you towards those lessons because I think they’re pretty good, and anything I’d type as an intro to those words would be basically the same as what’s in those lessons.

But if there are things we can clarify those lessons or topics, let us know.
