I don´t get this part

Hi guys, question. I understant what they are doing when creating the animal prototype. However, i dont get how they are linking than animal prototype to the bear prototype without calling it.
In the console, it´s shown that the Bear already has the “eat” function, but like i said, i do not understand how they linked one with the other.
