I need help with this problem

**Tell us what’s happening: It says my input is not nested within my form. What am I doing wrong?

  **Your code so far**

Challenge: Create a Form Element

Link to the challenge:

The instructions say:

Nest the existing input element…

You didn’t use the existing one - you created a new one. Start over (press “Reset All Code”) and start again. You’re form element is correct and the nesting is correct, you just have the wrong input element.

When I fix that, your code passes for me.

So I changed it to this and it says it is not nested and my form is not opened or closed.

<form action="https://freecatphotoapp.com/submit-cat-photo"
  <input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL">
</form>

I’ve edited your post for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (’).

You are missing a > at the end of the first line there, to close out the opening form tag.

If I add that, your code passes for me.
