<a href="#"><img src="" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>

<p>Things cats love:</p>
  <li>cat nip</li>

<p>Top 3 things cats hate:</p>
  <li>flea treatment</li>
  <li>other cats</li>
<form> <input type = "text" placeholder="cat photo URL">

Challenge: Create a Form Element

Link to the challenge:

I think that if you remove the " in front of action and then put it after form it should work, like this:

< form action=“”> < input type = “text” placeholder=“cat photo URL”>< /form>

(You can see that the " makes the action command a string, which prevents it from running)

no its not working
the error is Your

element should have well-formed open and close tags.

You have to remove the spaces, if you didn’t do that. The spaces are just there so it can be posted in this forum. It works when I try it. I write it like this:

< form action=“”>

< p>Things cats love:

< ul>

< li>cat nip</li>

< li>laser pointers</li>

< li>lasagna</li>

< /ul>

< p>Top 3 things cats hate:

< ol>

< li>flea treatment</li>

< li>thunder</li>

< li>other cats</li>

< /ol>

< input type=“text” placeholder=“cat photo URL”>

< /form>

Again, you have to remove these “< html>” spaces to make the code work.

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.

Thank you for understanding.

Oh, okay, srry. I will try to follow your reccomendation in future forum posts. :slightly_smiling_face:
