I think my code is correct. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? I also tried it with no spaces. (val)!=99

You are missing a pair of parenthesis around the if condition. Something like:

if(){

}

The condition on the if-statement is outside the parenthesis

Also, “=“ is an assignment operator “==“ is the equality operator
