Learn Basic Algorithmic Thinking by Building a Number Sorter - Step 24

Editor on page runs in the strict mode, this means every variable has to be declared.

i have the variable declared just above it.

const selectionSort = (array) => {
for( i = 0; i <array.length; i++){}

the i needs to be declared (i.e. let i = 0) it fails otherwise, assuming the strict mode answer was talking about that specifically.
