i don’t know how to comment out of the line background-color: burlywood;

Do you see the example comment in the instructions? Do you see what goes before the comment and what goes after? That’s what you use to turn anything into a comment.

This is the code I use yet have cant get past this step, I’ve also tried using it only before or after and that hasn’t worked either

i meant to put /* div */

Can you explain why you are adding divs in the comment? Yes, the instructions mention a div but that really has nothing to do with what the instructions are asking you to do:

“In your style sheet, comment out the line containing the background-color property and value”

Based on the instructions, how do you turn something into a comment?
