Learn-basic-css-by-building-a-cafe-menu - Step 33

body {
  background-image: url(https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/css-cafe/beans.jpg);
}

h1, h2, p, flavor, {
  text-align: left;
}

.menu {
  width: 80%;
  background-color: burlywood;
  margin-left: auto;
  margin-right: auto;
}

Step 33

Using your new flavor class as a selector, set the text-align property’s value to left.

Where is the correct place for the flavor class?
I moved the text line to the left, but does it not respond because the select is incorrect?

You should be creating a new selector for the flavor class, not adding it to an existing set of rules for other selectors.

When you are creating selectors, remember that whilst element names have no prefix, you should prefix class names with a dot and id names with a hash.

I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').
