Describe your issue in detail here.
Inside the head element, nest a meta element with the attribute charset set to utf-8 .
Sorry, your code does not pass. You should have one meta element.

as far as I can tell I am using only one meta element.

Your code so far

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">

<!-- User Editable Region -->

  <head>
    <meta charset="uft-8"
    <title>Colored Markers</title>
  </head>

<!-- User Editable Region -->

  <body>
  </body>
</html>

Your browser information:

User Agent is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/109.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Double check your meta tag. Towards the end…

Leaving it open or using ‘>’ still throws up an error saying I should have one meta code.

{Meta charset=“Utf-8”}
{}=<> should work

Using {} did not work either.

:rofl:do not use {} use <>

I’m telling you that doesn’t work, also tried {} and those did not work.

So you have
<meta charset=“Utf-8” With the ending closed arrow bracket?

Also I noticed you spelled UTF incorrectly in the above original code

Fixed utf, still doesn’t work.

I have tried:
<meta charset=“utf-8”(>) without the ()
<meta charset=“utf-8”
{meta charset=“utf-8”}

the code does not pass

Hrmmm. Well I am perplexed. Hopefully someone else will reply with the issues soon

Maybe open a new topic as people will see it’s new with no replies yet and help

Found the issue

Browser extension “dark reader” disabled fixed my code.

<meta charset=“utf-8”(>) without the () is the correct answer.

Is that not what you had already tried above?

It must’ve been some sort of spacing issue. Sometimes the most Mundine mistakes become very difficult to identify when your brain starts to hurt after coding for a while. Sounds like a good time for a break

I had to disable extension “dark reader” for the code to pass.

Oohh. Messed it up somehow did it. Good to know

Oof
