Learn CSS Variables by Building a City Skyline - Step 104

Tell us what’s happening: I keep getting the same message that reads" You should give the repeating-linear-gradient a first color of --building-color2 from 0% to 5%."
Sorry, your code does not pass. Try again.

Your code so far
background: repeating-linear-gradient(
var(–building-color2) 0%;
var( --building-color2) 5%;
transparent 5%;
transparent 10%;
)

Challenge: Learn CSS Variables by Building a City Skyline - Step 104

Link to the challenge:

Hi!
I don’t think you should use this one ; except for the end.
Maybe you should use something else?
Have you checked your previous gradients?

background: repeating-linear-gradient(
var(–building-color2) 0%;
var( --building-color2) 5%;
transparent 5%;
transparent 10%;
)
  • you are using “;” to separate those intermittent rules within “gradient”, you have to use “comma” instead
  • var(–building-color2) 0% is missing an another “-” before variable name

happy learning :slight_smile:
