The problem in the regex is not in the second but in the first part. The range of letters should not be `[A-Z]`, it should be `[A-J]`.

I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

Why are you using A-J?

because the spread sheet from A-J, that is why i was using a-j, please correct me if i’m wrong .

Ok, and why do you have \d and [1-9] and [0-9]?

to match the numbers from 1-9, and the next one is optional.\d for match the digits.

\d is to match any single digit. sorry.

But you should only be matching 2 digits, not 3

so last group is not necessory?

the 1-9 and 0-9 they said in the step.

So I’d ditch the one that wasn’t asked for

You only need two digits `1-9` and `0-9`.

The second character class in the capturing group is correct, so `[0-9]`. (Using `\d` is the equivalent for the second part, but it is not acceptable for this challenge.)

For the first part, you have used an extra `\d`. Because the challenge asks you to only match `1-9`.

Almost, you have a typo in your answer. But I think the test will only accept the range of values, and not \d
