Learn Git by Building an SQL Reference Object - Build an SQL Reference Object

Tell us what’s happening:

Hello, I am on working on the course “Learn Git by Building an SQL Reference Object.”

I am on the step Git is waiting for you to edit the commit message. Add an s at the end of the commit message so it is feat: add column reference.

I want to ensure that I am doing this correctly. Below is the current screen. I am not sure where I would input this.

Below are screenshots of the previous steps. The course seemed to ask me to modify the first commit, so I thought that is what I did.

Before

After

This course has an issue where it will pass me no matter what I enter on every single step, so I am not sure if I did the step before this one correct.

Thank you.

passing no matter what is not what is normal behaviour for this course.
Is this your first time working on a course in this set of courses or you’ve had this problem before??

Is this normal behavior for some courses? I had this happen for three or four courses in this curriculum as well (not this workshop though), and I posted about it but got no response. After a while the problem went away with later workshops. I did similar steps as he linked above but I didn’t do all of the complicated stuff in step 2, I just cd’d to the folder where I moved rdb-alpha

These steps are workarounds created by campers to solve a problem with the old backend learning materials which have multiple issues with them that have not been fixed. I do suggest finding other, more current, learning resources to learn from while waiting for the new curriculum updates to be made. (unless you like struggling like this each time)
