Describe your issue in detail here.
My code works but It keeps saying that I need another nested p that says see more in the gallery but I haven’t got to that yet.
Your code so far

    <main>

What is the instruction in the challenge?

Welcome to our community!
Don’t add what is not required by the step. Restart step.
By the way, you have done the line of code correctly except that you have forgotten the dot between the closing ‘a’ and ‘p’ tags, and you added unnecessary things.

to link the word of cat photos to a link. sorry for not having more context

to link the word cat photos to a link

But why did you add that? The instructions did not tell you to add that sentence anywhere.,

This is what it says. In the text of your p element, turn the words cat photos into a link to https://freecatphotoapp.com by adding opening and closing anchor (a ) tags around these words.

Have the above suggestions worked?

Right. It does not say "Add a brand new p element with a completely different sentence than the one you already have`

This is the starting code:

<html>
  <body>
    <main>
      <h1>CatPhotoApp</h1>
      <h2>Cat Photos</h2>
      <!-- TODO: Add link to cat photos -->
      <p>See more cat photos in our gallery.</p>
      <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">link to cat pictures</a>
      <img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">
    </main>
  </body>
</html>

DO NOT add any additional p elements.

they have not yet I added periods by the a tags and p tags but nothing else has worked.

Add zero p tags. You should only add one opening anchor tag and one closing anchor tag.

<p>Click here to view more <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">cat photos</a>.</p>
      <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">link to cat pictures</a>.

So like this ?

What did you intend to post here?

No. Stop adding this sentence

I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').

This is what I think it was asking me to do. This is the prompt it is asking. In the text of your p element, turn the words cat photos into a link to https://freecatphotoapp.com by adding opening and closing anchor (a ) tags around these words.

Take away this and you are fine
