Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 13

Tell us what’s happening:

Hello, I I have done the instruction in this step which is to delete the second anchor tag, so only the in the paragraph tag is left, but the code is still wrong. I don’t understand what I am doing wrong here. Help?

Your code so far

<html>
  <body>
    <main>
      <h1>CatPhotoApp</h1>
      <h2>Cat Photos</h2>

Welcome to the forum @Louisegotting

Do not make any changes to the elements you created in the previous step.

You changed some of the text in the editor.

Please reset the step to restore the original code.
Then remove the element the instructions ask.

Do not modify the rest of the code, or it may fail the tests.

Happy coding

I tried this step before and it still doesn’t work. I also viewed a video on Youtube, and I follow the exact same steps. Below code is when I restore and the only thing I mark and delete is the second anchor part, I delete everything between <a and </ a>.

Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? I haven’t changed anything else in the code in this step.

  <body>
    <main>
      <h1>CatPhotoApp</h1>
      <h2>Cat Photos</h2>

Hi @Louisegotting

Reset the step and try again. If that doesn’t work, refresh the page, disable dark mode, disable ad blockers. Or, use another browser.
If the above steps do not work, you may need to restart the computer.

Happy coding

I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').
