I think you are misunderstanding what you should be doing in this challenge. The directions say
" Add a target
attribute with the value _blank
to the anchor (a
) element’s opening tag, so that the link opens in a new tab."
You have also deleted a lot of the text that the challenge gave you. I recommend you reset the challenge, and then read this to learn about the target attribute

the text which appears to the user as text should be put between the opening and closing tags of anchor element
