everytime I type the (a) closing it erases the img which i dont understand ive tried excluding the link and its not working

A tag always starts with < and ends with >. Does your opening a tag have both?

i put one in and it says i only need one opening (a) tag even though there is only one. after that i removed ending tag and same thing

An anchor element needs both and opening and closing a tag.
