Learning to describe problems is hard, but it is an important part of learning how to code.

Also, the more you say, the more we can help!

There are 2 errors here:

  1. you forgot to close the a tag
  2. The alt=“” is supposed to be inside the opening img tag

This step wants me to “Turn the image into a link by surrounding it with necessary element tags. Use https://freecatphotoapp.com as the anchor’s href attribute value.”

I typed < a href= " url ">
< img src=“https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg” alt =“A cute orange cat lying on its back.” >

The hint says I should only add one opening (a) anchor tag.

So, in your line here the closing anchor tag </a> needs to come after the end of the img. You want to wrap the img in the anchor tag, but right now you just have a link before the img begins.

Then you want to fix the alt. The alt needs to go in the img tag which you can see here

You need to add the closing anchor tag after the img
