Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form 30 step

hello,

I am getting the following error:
You should add a type attribute of value checkbox to the input element.

this is my code:

 <label for="terms-and-conditions"> <input id="terms-and-conditions" type="checkbox" required> </label>

I am not sure why it isn’t recognising the checkbox?

please help

I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').

Please post a link to the Step. Thanks

Hi Jeremy, please see link:

That exact code works for me. I’d reset the code and paste this line back in.

I did try that but it has now worked and made me out to be a liar, thank you for your help.
