Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 48

I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly here. The instruction " Step 48
It would be nicer to have the label text appear above the form elements.
Select all input, textarea, and select elements, and make them take up the full width of their parent elements. Also, add 10px of margin to the top of the selected elements. Set the other margins to 0." I have searched through the other answers on forums but they arent even for the same question, my guess is freecodecamp changed some steps resulting in different numerical order. my answer input,textarea,select {
margin-top:10px;
margin:0;
width:100%;
}

Hi friend. Read carefully this instruction it gives:

add 10px of margin to the top of the selected elements. Set the other margins to 0 .

That being said, how would you set margin for all 4 sides in one line of code per the requested quidelines?
Hope this helps.

try swapping place of them!! currently “margin: 0” is overwriting your previous “margin-top” value, happy learning :slight_smile:

Thank you everyone for your feedback, I was under the impression that if I used margin-top:10px; and margin:0px; it would keep the top at 10px and the others would go to 0px; I am still having an issue with this step however, it keeps saying there are no commas but it looks the same as what its listing is a problem ie.

input,textarea,select {
  margin-top:10px;
  margin-bottom:0px;
  margin-left:0px;
  margin-right:0px;
  width:100%;
}

Does FCC have issues with Mozilla FireFox?

I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').

Your solution works from my end. Please try one of the following steps to move forward.

Click on the “Restart Step” button and force a refresh of your page with CTRL + F5 then try to paste the code in again.

or - Try the step in incognito or private mode.

or - Disable any/all extensions that interface with the freeCodeCamp website (such as Dark Mode, Ad Blockers, or Spellcheckers), and set your browser zoom level to 100%. Both of these factors can cause tests to fail erroneously.

or - Ensure your browser is up-to-date or try a different browser.

I hope one of these will work for you.
