Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 53

Hi wonderful experienced coders,
I’ve already posted about step 53 to center my submit button like I centered my form however I only posted part of the code. Here is the whole code so far.

Thank you!
Your code so far

Challenge: Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 53

Link to the challenge:

Hey! It looks like you have two selectors targeting and styling the same element which is messing with the tests. you need to remove the first instance of that.

Also you shouldn’t create multiple posts with the same issue because it sometimes gets confusing for other users. I’ve closed the previous post.

Hi ya Staranbeer,

Thank you so very much for your kind reply. :slight_smile:
It is much appreciated.

What you suggested makes total sense! I have deleted the first input selector but I am getting this error.

input[type="submit-button"] {
  margin:0 auto;
  max-width:500px;
  min-width:300px;
  width:60vw;
}

Test

Sorry, your code does not pass. You’re getting there.

Hint

You should give the submit button a margin of 0 auto.

Ps- apologies for the two separate posts.

I’ve edited your post for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').

I fixed it! ‘Submit button’ is not a thing.
Then I used the suggestions to help with the rest.
Hoping this post helps others as I was stuck on this one. :slight_smile:

input[type=“submit”]
{margin:0 auto;
width:60vw;}

Hahaha I was just going to reply! Glad you figured it out on your own. Let us know if you need help with anything else! :joy:

Thank you again! :slight_smile:
