would probably be a good idea to look this over

We aren’t here to write an answer walkthrough. It really helps if you talk about what you don’t understand and what you have tried.

I’ve looked it over (twice ostensibly). nothing comes to thought still. “1px solid border” how? it’s confusing.

How have you set multiple values for one property on previous steps?

if I understand correctly, using the (,) between the values.

what I dont understand is, 1px, solid border, how?

Try something. Where did the list of properties go in that example I highlighted?

Or here?

Or here

I’ve tried this.

Please stop posting screenshots.

The instructions asked for you to modify the border property.

yeah what border property precisely?

The border property. Not any other property like border-bottom

Tried it Jeremy but it’s not responding. must be mad at me or something.

Do not post screenshots. Please. We’ve repeatedly asked you.

You did not use the value you were asked to used and you added an extra property you weren’t asked to use. Also, you typeod the name of the property that was already there.

what value you talking about?

It would be easier for me to quote your code if you paste your actual code instead of a screenshot.

tbh I don’t know how to quote my code. all this are still new to me for true.

When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').

You want to use copy and paste.

here’s my code below

input, textarea {
  border: 1px, solid #0a0a23;
}

Huzzah!

This part here now looks correct. But you deleted the other property that was there. background-color needs to be put back.
