Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 44

Tell us what’s happening:

I don’t know how to assign a variable to a function or is it the other way around, maybe I’m just confused!

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

function padRow() {

}

// User Editable Region

const call = "";
call(padRow());

// User Editable Region

for (let i = 0; i < count; i = i + 1) {
  rows.push(character.repeat(i + 1))
}

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n" + row;
}

console.log(result);

Hi there! This part is correct, now just write here the name of your function to assign it to this variable. Then remove your second line of code.

The system is saying " You should assign call the result of your padRow call.". I’ve tried everything I know or remember, I’m out of solutions.

Show your latest code, please

I’m really stuck and this is how I wrote the code

const call = "";
call();
padRow();

I’ve edited your post a bit, please don’t surround plain text with backticks, only code.
OK, here’s the example of how to assign a function to a variable:
const variableName = functionName();

I’m sorry about the backticks thing. Thank you very much @Ray13 Your solution worked. THANK YOU!
