so i looked at all the forums for this question and ive been able to fly through this but here im stuck and have no idea what to do. doesnt state to use a elif or true false statement here. any help would be appreciated.

i changed the new_char to encrypted_text and still wrong.

You modified the assignment into compound assignment.
Please change it back.

In the string, replace the underscore with a single space.

Tip: it is okay to copy and paste expressions from the instructions.
