Learn String Manipulation by Building a Cipher - Step 41

Tell us what’s happening:

I don’t understand what is wrong. When this code is ran FCC’s hint suggests putting the string ‘space!’ inside my statement.
When I replace this if statement with:
if char == ‘space!’:
FCC will suggest I go about having char == ’ ': in my if statement.
Confused here

Your code so far

Hi @pck3t,

Double-check the instructions. The instructions wants print('space!') inside the if block, not in the if’s condition.

if x < y:
    // code inside the if block
    print('hello')

Make sure you indent properly as well.

I hope this helps. Happy coding!
