It looks like the exercise you linked is different from what you’re asking above. This exercise isn’t asking for a footer id yet, but in the next exercise it does. For the next exercise however, it may seem a little confusing, but you will want to add a footer id to the footer tag like so:

<footer id="footer">Text</footer>

I had the same issue and your solution worked. The sticking point for me was the fact I had to delete the Copyright Cat Photo App from the text and that wasn’t spelled out in the instructions
