Hi,
I’ve used the following guide when theming to use material variables in custom elements. mainly background color as $primary but can’t find where to access the text color. If you toggle between light and dark the font colour changes to black or white, where are there variables?

Not really sure might be $dark-primary-text and $light-primary-text.
