Need help with aligning text on Codepen with Bootstrap

So trying to align some of the text on the page, but as soon as I put the Bootstrap CDN it aligns the text to the left. I’m not sure what is wrong, because the text-align doesn’t seem to work. Here is my CSS andCodepen.

  text-align: center;
  margin-top: 30px;

}

.intro {
  font-family: Sans-serif;
  font-size: 35px;
  font-color: ;
}
.instructions {
  font-size: 25px;
  font-weight: 800;

Add col-sm-12 class to your div element with the class instruction.

So it would like something like this:

...
<div class="instructions col-sm-12">
...

Bootstrap uses flexbox, it’s happening due to that.
