I’m trying to make an animated circle with a highlighted thing that goes around. I’m not quite sure what I’ve done wrong and have been trying to figure it out for the past day. I think its the “before” and “after” statements that aren’t working correctly. Any suggestions?

I’ve edited your post for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (’).

Alright, I’ll keep that in mind for next time. Thank you!

  1. You are missing the semicolon ; after background: #0d2323 in the .container .loader selector.

  2. You are missing the dash, for background repeat: no-repeat;, it should be background-repeat: no-repeat; (in the .container .loader::before selector).

  3. You are misssing position: absolute on the .container .loader::after selector.

Not really sure what it is supposed to look like so that makes it a little hard to know if there is anything else wrong.

Thank you! It worked!

Here’s the finished product, lmk how it looks!

Happy to help, it’s a cool looking spinner. I like it.

I did miss one more thing. You need a star * in front of the first selector. That should be a universal selector.

 * {
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;
  box-sizing: border-box;
}
