I was unable to install node.js. I have tried many versions in vain.
Instead of finishing the installation it did a rolling back action, as in the screenshot.
Then, the final message is as in the below screenshot.
Any idea how to fix this? Google did not help me that much.
I can only offer general troubleshooting advice.
- make sure you’re running the install with the proper administrator access
- make sure Avast isn’t blocking it
- make sure that you’re attempting to install the correct version
