I have edited your post to include that challenge link.

Thank you.

I’ve edited your post for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (’).

Hi @Shaq !

Welcome to the forum!

Looking at your code it looks like you have two issues here

You added some spaces in your url here

remove all extra spaces.

It looks like you don’t have an closing anchor tag at the end here

Hey its saying “I should only add one anchor (a) tag. Please remove extras.” I am confuesd I only see one <a> in my code

The test is confused because you didn’t have a closing anchor tag.

Remember that anchor elements have an opening and closing tag.
Your current code does not have a closing anchor tag.

closed anchor ? Also at the end of the code?

Anchor elements looks like this

<a href="url goes here">anchor text goes here</a>

But you wrote omitted the closing tag which is this

I am just confused on where to put the closed anchor tag.

It goes at the very end of your code because we are nesting the img element inside the anchor element.

opening anchor tag
img element
closing anchor tag

I am not getting it. I am getting discourage.

<a href="https>://"> <img src="" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."</a>

I see two issues here

It looks like you added a > here

But that is not the correct url.

I would just go back to what you had earlier and just make sure there are no spaces here

It looks like you deleted the > for the img element here

I firgured it out,

sorry i was having trouble with this as well and was following along and i figured it out and just wanted to help you out as well.

that sucks, any way that i can actually show this person the code?

<a href=</a>
<img src=""
alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">

after the closing quotes for the first link there needs to be a >symbol then right into the <img and at the very end is where you put the

HI @phump12 !

Welcome to the forum!

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.

As for having your code show up on the forum, please read my earlier post in this thread on how to do that.
It is the very first post in the thread.

I would go back to your original code because you were much closer to the correct answer.

Here was your original code.

You need to make sure there are no spaces here

and you need to add the </a> at the end here

<a href="https://"> <img src="" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">ADD ENDING ANCHOR TAG HERE

Hope that helps!
